JOYS OF BLOGGING: key phrases
Any blogger will tell you that one of the consummate joys of blogging is the ability to see what search words have brought people to your personal corner of the Internet. (Keep in mind that “joy” for a blogger is a small, squalid thing applied most often to his hourly bouts of masturbation to Internet pornography.) Search words are a good gauge not only of the content of your blog, but also the temperament and values of your ideal reader. Your target demo. So, I was not really thrilled about this search phrase:

First of all, this intrepid Googler was a very specific kind of pedophile, which is I think way grosser than just a general-type pedophile. Second of all, I don’t know why this search phrase brought this sicko to my blog: I have never blogged about an ample chested 7th grader. It was an ample chested 8th grader. It’s disappointing to think that even a guy writing on the Internet about the chests of 8th graders is tarnished by the gaze of ePerverts. They’re everywhere.
LESSON LEARNED: Like power without the fancy car or mistresses, absolute Internet corrupts absolutely.
